The only photos from my last shoot where I don't look depressed

Hey guys, so this is my final look from the shoot I did with David Mendolia! As I said before the things that I wore I'd just bought within the past couple days (besides accessories & shoes). When I saw this shirt I knew that I had to have it because I'm in love with very simple loose fitting things like this so I just had to get it even though it was a size XL (later that night i shortened the straps with a sewing kit).

American Eagle tank / BDG silk & velvet skirt / Minnetonka Moccasin black knee high lace-ups / assorted accessories

Although I don't own/wear very much girly type dresses or skirts unless they're maxi I still love having them! They can usually brighten up or upgrade any outfit, it's just difficult getting me to sit like a lady in them usually. Well I hope you enjoyed this blog post! xo

I think I see a circus freak under that bridge!

So this was probably my least favorite of the outfits just because it was the least planned out and the most boring (at least in my opinion). However, I figured i'd show it anyways because he took the time to shoot it and I like the jacket.

My best friend Angela actually convinced me to buy this blazer because I was pretty iffy about it, but she convinced me that I would be able to pull it off. I enjoy the fact that it's so odd and I probably won't find this same jacket again, and especially with the very cool buttons that are on it!

I still have yet to wear this blazer because the weather hasn't allowed it but here are some ideas for what I'll pair it with!
  • outfit one:  black loose tank, pleather leggings, red Toms, floral scarf.
  • outfit two: black bodycon American Apparel skirt, pop of color tank, black knee high Minnetonka Moccasins.
Hope you enjoyed the post! xo

In case you were wondering...

So a lot of the time I will find myself wondering what some of my favorite bloggers/fashion inspiration are buying when a new season hits or there's lots of sales and although I doubt I'm anyone's favorite blogger I thought I'd tell you guys!

Lately i've been doing a lot of consignment shopping with my best friend, Angela and also shopping for graduation ceremony stuff (not pictured yet). Here is what I've bought in just this weekend...

Left to right: teal & orange scarf / snakeskin Aerosole driving shoes / navy blue beaded moccasins / maroon American Apparel bodycon skirt / black & gold skull oversized tee / wishbone necklace / black lace bra / turtle tie-dye tee / leather rose bracelet (Not pictured here: vintage ring / Samero, Sons of Anarchy tee / Dad's old cross earring / turquoise heart earrings)

quite a bit for a very little amount of money...

 Up close:

I got this necklace partly because I had to spend my credit at Heartbreaker but also because I love that it's so simple unlike most necklaces I own.

Also new: ring on the far left / tee I'm wearing

I'm showing this bra because although it's just a simple black bra I love stuff like this because the lace makes it cute enough where I feel comfortable showing off the sides of it in an oversized cut up tank (although most people probably wouldn't).

I stole the idea of the cross as a cartilage piercing from a friend when I saw that my dad still had this old earring from way back in the 90's & Angela even pierced it herself!

Hope you enjoyed this post! xo

I know it's been a while... but!

I'm sorry that it's been a while since I've posted but I've been really busy with moving/graduating/signing up for school and plus I was feeling like it didn't really matter because this blog hasn't been noticed very much... But I will continue to use it anyways because I like posting!

So I did a shoot on monday (memorial day) with the lovely david mendolia and my best friend, angela. I decided that morning that I wanted to do a shoot so it was extremely impromptu so it revolved around what I was wearing, and what I'd very recently bought! Here is the first look that we did (and I will include the other two in my next posts).

So me & angela made these lovely tie-dye shirts the other day and I made two so I decided to switch one of them up a little bit and I may do the same to the other later on, but yeah. So using a ruler, the outline of a bowl, and a sharpie I made my pentagram shirt! I think it's so funny because the combination of the bright colors and the satanic reference so it will most likely become a big part of my wardrobe.

Besides the shirt this pretty simple look included:
DKNYC leggings / Minnetonka Moccasin knee highs / lace bralette from Pacsun / DIY tooth necklace / peace sign rosary from Macys

I hope you enjoyed this very late posted look! xo

Oh sweet coachella...

So although there was never any chance that I could have gone to Coachella I was very inspired by the style posts about it... So I did a look for about what I would have worn if i was there!

I'm very into the boho/beachy look which includes: fringe, cropped tops, jewelry, moccasins, light & neutral colors, and maxi clothing.

My look for coachella would have included shorts I'd shred myself, bright nails, moccasins, and layers! What would you wear?! Hope you enjoyed this post! xo

Throw on your boyfriends tee and just be happy!

Almost immediately after I posted my wish list blog saying that I wanted a misfits shirt my boyfriend told me that he had an old one i could have. Am I the luckiest girl ever or what?!

I really like this outfit because I don't wear full on black much but I felt like the combination was intriguing enough to wear with the little pops of white and stone in it!

Misfits band tee / black thrifted leather vest / DKNY leggings / white converse / black thrifted rosary / green target stone necklace

I also really like to smirk I guess... Well I hope you enjoyed this post! xo

Would you like to go on a date with me?

Yesterday I went thrifting with a friend of mine who shall not be named, but she's adorable. She told me that she loved my style blog (aw how cute! maybe I'll post more knowing someone actually reads it! Ahem!) and that she needed help throwing together for a kind of sort of date with a very attractive young man.

I told her that she would want to wear something somewhat casual so it doesn't look like she's trying too hard to make herself dolled up but of course it should be cute.

I sent her off in an outfit that looked similar to this with the dress a little bit less fancy. The big thing about picking out a date for an outfit though is that it should reflect who you are, not what your mom or friends thinks that you should be, but who you are. With your clothing it shows a lot about yourself and if you're showing them someone else then you might as well be wearing a Halloween costume.

My advice for dressing to a not-so-formal date is to think of yourself on your best day. What do you look like? Now be that person!

Hope you enjoyed this post! xo
